Delete your account
Delete your GPS Find My Device account (the "Find My Device - Phone Tracker" app on Google Play) and the data linked to it. You can do this here even if the app is no longer installed.
Delete your account now
Sign in with the Google account you use in GPS Find My Device. We use it only to confirm the account is yours, then you choose to delete it.
Confirm deletion
Deleting your account will straight away:
- sign out every phone that uses this Google account in the app;
- delete your account and remove your phones from it;
- remove your Google sign-in from GPS Find My Device.
Before you go
- Cancel Premium first. Deleting your account or the app does not cancel a Google Play subscription. Cancel it in Google Play › Payments & subscriptions.
- Turn off Uninstall Protection in Tools if you also want to uninstall the app.
- This can't be undone. Your devices and connections can't be recovered after deletion.
Can't sign in? Request deletion by email
Email us from the Google account you used in the app, or include that address in your message. We'll confirm it's you and delete your data within 30 days.
What we delete
Deleted from our systems
- Your account record: name, email address, profile photo link, the list of phones linked to your account, Bluetooth gadget history and nearby-phone key.
- Your sign-in account in Firebase Authentication.
- The link between your phones and your account. Every phone on the account is signed out.
Deleted immediately when you confirm on this page, or within 30 days of an email request.
What may be kept, and for how long
- Each phone's own record (device ID, sharing code, device name and model, last location, battery and messaging token). It holds no account details, and the app keeps using it while signed out, for example for your sharing code. To remove it too, uninstall the app and email us the phone's name.
- Analytics and crash data that isn't linked to your account: kept by Google for up to 14 months (analytics) and 90 days (crash reports), then deleted automatically.
- Purchase records: kept by Google Play, and by us only where tax or accounting law requires, for as long as that law requires.
- Intruder alert photos held by our email service: deleted when you email us to ask.
- Messages already delivered to people you shared with stay in their app until they remove you.
Data on your phone
Trips, driving reports, saved places, intruder photos and settings are stored only on your phone, so they are deleted when you uninstall the app or clear its data: Android Settings → Apps → Find My Device - Phone Tracker → Storage → Clear data. A phone that keeps the app installed is signed out and carries on without an account.
Delete some data, keep your account
You don't have to delete everything. In the app you can:
- Stop sharing or remove a person: Family Tracker → choose the person → Remove.
- Delete a recorded trip: GPS Tracking → Tracking History, then delete the trip.
- Delete intruder photos: Intruder Selfie → Photos, long-press to select, then Delete.
- Stop intruder emails: turn email alerts off in Intruder Selfie.
- Sign out of Google: Settings → Logout. Your other phones won't be able to reach this one.
To delete any other specific data, email us at feedbackfindmydevice@gmail.com and tell us what you'd like removed. Read more in our Privacy Policy.
